band members of Hollywood Clay have tapped into the formula for
longevity in their pursuit for musical magic. The powerful trio have
similar musical influences, experiences in life, and approach to the
audio chemistry they create. The music has been described as cutting
edge, hard to categorize and compare…yet refreshing, emotional, and
incredible. Their music brings forth a monumental rock n’ roll
solidification coupled with hints of blues rooted, rhythmic, and
powerful grooves. The strong vocals and lyrics are well phrased and
dynamic. The choruses bring about memorable hooks. Each song has meaning
and can be felt and experienced. Hollywood Clay has something to say to
everyone. The band has recently recorded their first demo CD. They are
ready to bring their music to the masses.
Unlike
most bands, Hollywood Clay’s band members bring equal collaboration to
the table when writing their music. All of the band mates are
multi-talented in the regard of instrumentation, song writing, and the
lyrical/vocal approach to their songs. The band feels that the open and
honest forum that they have established in their songwriting brings out
the very best in their music and primary roles as musicians in the band.
Their music speaks for it’s self. Mike
Wright is the lead vocalist and guitarist in Hollywood Clay. Having been
raised in a musically adept family, Mike’s love for playing guitar and
singing have been prominent throughout his life. His performance both,
in guitar skills and emotional, vocal delivery captivate broad spans of
audience demographics. Younger and older audiences along with other
musicians will have something to take from Mike’s offerings. Mike’s
feeling for the band’s songs are apparent, consistently, in his live
and recorded performances. Terry
Clay plays bass guitar in Hollywood Clay. Terry also found adoration for
music early in his childhood. Through Terry’s musical journey from
past to current, he has graced accomplishment with various instruments
such as keyboards, trombone, guitar, and bass. Terry’s songwriting
skills and address to the bass’ back bone and complimentary role to
each song is a force to be reckoned with.
Raymond Clay provides the drums for Hollywood Clay. Raymond’s unique
style of drumming offers listeners an assurance of “ in the pocket”,
driven complexities while keeping concern for the necessities of each
song. Although
Raymond is primarily at home on a drum throne, his contributions to the
songwriting in the band are much more than that of which his drum kit
produces. Raymond brings forth many of the guitar riff foundations and
lyrics for the band’s music.
As a group, Hollywood Clay delivers an energetic, yet refreshing live
performance. Audiences are attentive to many aspects of their show. The
